Natural dyeing
Iride has also specialized in the study of dyes with natural colours. One of the characteristics of natural dyes is to make each garment unique and to live with the wearer, respecting and protecting the environment. In fact, natural dyes of vegetable or mineral origin are used in natural dyeing and it is precisely thanks to the different characteristics of the dye itself, the components of the water and of the fabric, that each dyed piece will have different characteristics, shades and solidity.
Over time the natural dye may undergo chromatic variations, which cannot be identified directly with a degradation of the colour but with a modification of the shade; this alteration is to be read as a merit since it distinguishes the uniqueness of the garment made and of the wearer.

To promote natural dyeing, since 2010 Iride has participated in several trade fairs. The first one took place in Verona, followed by Pitti Filati in Florence and then White in Milan. Every year, on a six-monthly basis, the company participates in Filo, creating sophisticated stands having as main background the natural dye in order to promote this practice less impacting than the classic one.

Today, after many years of experience, Iride can say with satisfaction that it has been able to achieve a high degree of quality and repeatability on this type of dyes.
